Them’s Fightin’ Herds roars onto consoles in October

We’ve seen some crazy fighting games over time. There’s the ultraviolent like Mortal Kombat. Plus, the parodies of it had characters made of clay as Clayfighters did. But there’s one that might be more unique than all of them. That honor goes to Them’s Fightin’ Herds! PC and fighting game fans know it. It’s had a spot at EVO Online. And now console players will soon know it too!

For those unaware, Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a 2D fighting game from developer Modus games. Released in 2018 to PC, each character is designed by Lauren Faust. If that name sounds familiar to you, it’s because she’s the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Now, that fighter is heading to all consoles in October. Check out the console announcement trailer below.

Now. I know fighting game fans are already asking. And yes. There will be online cross-play support with GGPO rollback netcode on all platforms. So this is a fighter that checks all the bookmarks players are looking for. I can’t think of another fighting game that looks this unique. So come October, sign me up to figure out which of these critters I’m going to main as I try it for the first time!

Them’s Fightin’ Herds storms onto Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4/5 on October 18th. As mentioned before, it is already on PC and has a strong community! You can pre-order a physical copy of the game that comes with the first season pass here. Are you excited to pick a bovine to duke it out with on your system of choice?
