Tony Harnell teases the possibility of a new Sonic The Hedgehog song
The singer for TNT may be working on a new Sonic song.
In a recent Instagram story, Tony Harnell hinted that he may be working on a new song for Sonic the Hedgehog.
Harnell, who recorded songs for previous Sonic titles, posted a Q&A on his Instagram story. One person asked if he would be open to doing another song for Sonic the Hedgehog. He responded by saying, “Sure, and I think I kind of just did.”
Although this response is not a confirmation, it has intrigued fans of what this could mean. With various new Sonic related projects in the works, there are various options where fans could hear a new Harnell song. It’s possible the new song may not even be featured in a game. Both a new Sonic the Hedgehog movie and the animated series Sonic Prime are confirmed. It’s possible Harnell could do the theme song for either of these projects. As we’re currently in the year of Sonic’s 30th anniversary, Harnell could be teasing a standalone single for that.
It’s important to note that although all of these possibilities would be exciting, they are all speculation. Though Harnell himself hinted at doing another song for the blue hedgehog, nothing is officially confirmed.
In another recent post on Instagram, Harnell seemed to laugh off the rumors. He reposted a story from NintendoLife about the rumor with the caption, “The power of Instagram lol.” This response neither confirms nor denies the rumors, leaving fans to continue questioning the possibility of a return.
