Creative Assembly announced Via Twitter that due to 20% growth over the past year, they are opening up a brand new facility in West Sussex. It will support 800 employees with 100,000 square feet of space that will be home to three UK studios, and a Motion Capture soundstage. They are currently working remotely, planning to have a grand opening after the pandemic.
Here’s what they had to say:
“This is an incredibly exciting time for Creative Assembly with the highly-anticipated Total War: WARHAMMER III on the horizon and our new sci-fi-shooter IP in development. We are already home to some of the best talent out there and we are growing.
“We have a fantastic reputation for being one of the best game developers to work for with our positive approach to work-life balance. I want to continue to build on this and see an end to the traditional 9-5 in-office work model.

According to Edmondson, they’ll be changing their work model to allow employees some work flexibility. In addition to restructuring their workflow, there will be a redesign of their interior.
Some of these changes include:
Over 30 open plan and private meeting spaces
Presentation spaces
Over 20 specialized audio suites
Playtest rooms
User Experience Laboratory
Upgraded Motion Capture Studio
Anything that betters the well-being and creativity of one’s employees is a good thing in my book. Currently, there are no plans to return to the office due to COVID-19 protocols, but we definitely like what we see from the new facility pics!
