Playing the game myself at PAX East in 2019 and 2022, you should definitely keep this one on your radar. My time with the demo was excellent, unique, and memorable. My demo had me retrieve tools to progress through a cavern and fight monstrous mermaids. I even left the sub to fight and retrieve an important item. I’ve seen the game start off in prototype phase, and have followed it to where it is now. Finally, it is scary. The noises and sounds are sure to send a chill down the spine. For horror games fans especially, you’ll want to play this one.
Depths of Sanity launches November 2 for PC. Steam Deck compatibility was not confirmed at the time of this posting. Depths of Sanity is set for a console release to both Xbox and Nintendo Switch in Q2 2023.
