Valkyria Chronicles tops Steam’s download charts

Valkyria Chronicles released on Steam yesterday and quickly rose to the top of the platform’s download charts, and not even SEGA expected it to do that well.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans for their support in the phenomenal success of this launch,” said John Clark, Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing for SEGA Europe, “We’re also delighted at the response from the Steam community which indicates that newcomers to the series are finding it as enchanting and engaging as those who have played it before.”

Many gamers are hoping the strong sales will convince SEGA to port other popular console games to PC, like Vanquished and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. OK, maybe many aren’t campaigning for Condemned 2, but I wan’t it, damn it!
