Wo-Long Fallen Dynasty roadmap reveals Lies of P content

The roadmap reveals new features and an exciting collaboration

Warriors fight together. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has had a triumphant launch since it arrived earlier this year. Now, the team is set for a strong roadmap of content. Among them are exciting new features and collaboration with similar games, such as Nioh and the ambitious title Life of P.

The news comes from a developer update from the Team Ninja blog. Producer-director Hirayama came onto the blog to celebrate the game’s success and the roadmap for the game. Hirayama details exciting expansions, such as “improving the ease of playability” and ” expanding the scope of strategy with a focus on action and RPG.” Additional feature includes plans for a Boss Rush Mission Part 2 and New end-game content. The content is said to be played repeatedly, focusing on strategy. The biggest revelation is a collaboration with Lies of P in September and Nioh in November.

Collaborations are planned in September with Lies of P, and in November with Nioh. The content we are considering will be different from what we have released for the Naraka: Bladepoint collaboration. We are working hard on these partnership contents in order for fans of these games to be delighted with the outcome. I hope you will all look forward to some of the exciting things to come!

A tale of heroes

Lies of P takes the familiar story of Pinnochio and flips it upside down, presenting a souls-like that is macabre and mechanical. As a puppet made by Gepetto, players are thrust to fight in a city of poison and madness to discover themselves in the heart of darkness. The enemies before are mechanical and deadly, but they haven’t met the ingenuity of Gepetto’s puppet. Lies of P is arriving September 23rd, 2023, and currently has a demo available now. Lies of P was developed and published by Neowiz

Nioh and Nioh 2 are the predecessors to Wo-Long: Fallen Dynasty. Made by Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo, the game focuses on similar Souls combat, but with an emphasis on the trademark fast-paced hack-n-slash combat that Team Ninja is known for. The first Nioh was released in 2017 and went on to sell 3 million copies. This was followed up by Nioh 2 in 2020. The game has players fighting in a fictionalized Feudal Japan against demonic monsters and deadly armies.

It is unknown what kind of game will be played when these collaborations happen. Life of P is remarkably different from Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty in terms of setting and aesthetics. The focus on mechanical enemies could make for an interesting combat scenario in Wo-Long’s setting. Hopefully, the collaboration will be far more than simple skins and be more realized levels and combat.

Wo-Long: Fallen Dynasty is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
