Oh boy, it’s about that time again! Even though E3 isn’t happening this year, that won’t stop the gaming industry from dropping news in June. Xbox knows this, and they are ready to deliver. Microsoft has confirmed that an Xbox Showcase will be taking place on June 12th!
The Xbox Showcase will be at 10 AM PT/1 PM EST/6 PM BST and be available in over 30 languages. You will also be allowed to choose what platform you wish to watch the event on. It will be streamed to Youtube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and Tik Tok. You can find the announcement tweet below!
What could we see at the Xbox Showcase?
So what could we see at the Xbox Showcase this year? I imagine Bethesda is going to show off a lot of Starfield, since that is still on track to release this holiday. But could other Bethesda properties make an appearance? Arkane hasn’t said anything about Redfall since its reveal last year. Expect that to get a massive gameplay showcase. And there’s still no footage of the Indiana Jones game MachineGames is working on. Could that trailer be shown off as well?
There’s also the fact that Xbox Game Studios themselves have many questions to answer. With all the developers bought in the last couple of years, we still haven’t seen projects they are working on. Obsidian should show off Avowed or The Outer Wilds 2. The showcase would be a great time to indicate with some footage that the Perfect Dark reboot is on track.
What about Game Pass and Halo Infinite?
With all this talk of the Xbox Showcase, we haven’t even discussed Halo Infinite or Game Pass? Expect to see some massive games announced for Game Pass during the show. It happens every year. For Halo Infinite? The show would be a prominent time to showcase a multiplayer road map or battle royale mode coming to the game. If they are happening, it has to be shown.
