Earlier this week, we reported on a leak that stated Yakuza: Kiwami 2 would coming to Asia at the end of the year. During SEGA’s Yakuza event stream, it was officially announced that Yakuza: Kiwami 2, a Dragon Engine remake of Yakuza 2, was being released in Japan on December 7th.
For those that do not know, the Dragon Engine is what is being used for Yakuza 6. Unlike Kiwami and Yakuza 0 (which were developed as ports for PS3), this will be entirely made with PS4 hardware.
Additional features in Kiwami 2 include a “Truth of Majima Goro” scenario where you can play as Majima-san, as well as a bunch of never-before-seen stories.
No word yet on a western release, but chances are it will definitely come this way!
