Ys IX: Monstrum Nox gets Nintendo Switch release date
Ys IX: Monstrum Nox released on the PlayStation 4 in February to fairly strong reviews, currently at 80 on Metacritic. Meanwhile, Nintendo fans have been waiting for publisher NIS America to port it to the Switch.
Today, NIS America announced that Ys IX: Monstrum Nox will release on the Nintendo Switch on July 6 in North America, July 9 in Europe and Oceania on July 16. The PC version will release on July 6.

Developer Falcom’s latest entry in the Ys series finds Adol “The Red” Christin on his latest journey in the Prison City of Balduq, where his dreams and reality are intertwined as one, according to NIS America. Join him and the Monstrum to battle creatures of the night and shed light on the mysterious curse cast upon themselves.
The game is available physically in the “Pact Version,” which contains the Switch game, reverse cover sheet, mini art book and “Melodies of the Macabre” digital soundtrack download.
